Dear Diary, this is Emily and I am fourteen. I love my friends and family, but there are things that I do not like to share with everyone, and that’s the reason I started this page to talk with you. You will be my secret friend and I will tell you everything. About me: I like to daydream when it’s raining, I like to have fun with my friends, manage my rock band and also like to take some pictures. I love all the pets, especially love my cat Felix!

Chic and Stylish Macie
Dear Diary, Macie came back from Miami. I can’t believe she has not seen me yet but had time to go to the mall without me. That’s Macie for ya, but I still love her.

Having Fun Together
Finally, we got together with the girls today! However Nia is still at her grandma’s place where she feels more comfortable, because her dad only cares about his new girlfriend. We decided to have a make-up party with the girls today and we had so much fun! Especially with Macie, she would make a very entertaining Goth.

Inventive Ami
Today, Ami had an incident in the lab again. But she doesn’t care. She says that she is ready for the conference opening. Oh, I haven’t even told you that Ami works in the lab. She is inventing a chemical that will remove toxins from the water. Ami was sent to detention for the incident but at the end of the day she was still happy. She stayed up late to finish the research for science conference. The winner gets to visit Botswana. I hope to achieve something incredible like that and be rewarded with such a great prize!

Our Small Friends
Macie convinced us to go to the animal show. My cat Felix hates to dress up, but fortunately that day was an exception and he did not mind as much. Macie’s dog Bailey was posing like a real model. Ami’s rat, Alfred was the only one of its kind on the show. But Ami still decided to dress him up to prove to us that the rat is as good of a pet as cats or dogs.

Dream Boy
…I saw such a cool guy at school today!!! Ami and I were chatting in the hallway and this charming guy just walked by us. I had never seen him before; he is probably a transfer student. I don’t think Ami noticed anything and I didn’t bother telling her. I had to tell everything to Macie, cause she is an expert in that area…But her mind is set on planning a party at the moment.

Sporty and Pretty
This morning, we found out that Nia came back from her Grandma’s place. Nia thought that we had totally stopped working out and she was right. That’s why she dragged us to the gym. I am so glad that we went to the gym because I have been constantly thinking about that charming guy. It’s good that girls didn’t notice anything weird about me, because I didn’t have to talk too much at the gym. Nia seems to be happier since she has visited her grandma that loves her and cares for her so much. Grandma had shared stories about Nia’s mom while they were working around the house. Nia would gladly move to her granny’s house if her dad let her do it. Even though her dad does not have time for her daughter he does not wanna hear about the move! On the other hand, it would be sad if Nia moved. What would we do without her? It’s sad to even think about that.

Animal Shelter
Today I went to the animal shelter where I work as a volunteer. I take care of the animals; bathe, feed and clean after them. Animals at the shelter love me and I can share my feelings with them. Our lovely Pekingese dog, Piffy found a new home today. Family who adopted her was really nice. I hope Piffy will like his new home

Unforgettable Memories
There was a baking competition at the school today. Sometimes what seems to be boring just turns out to be fun! Ami, Nia and I baked an amazing cake! Macie said that she does not like baking or cooking and did not show up. I think she got it from her mom, because she does not like to cook either. But it’s not about her right now. We almost won the competition, which is good because we didn’t have to give up the whole cake to the judges and guests. We took most of the cake home and had it with some delicious hot chocolate that my mom made for us. I almost had not thought about that charming guy today.

Cycle Accident
Dear Diary, past two days have been so surreal. It feels like I have been daydreaming for the whole time like I made all these up. In reality, what happened today?! I had a bike accident! My mom sent me to the grocery store to get some milk. While riding my bike to the store… By the way Diary, I know how to ride a bike!!! I have been riding bike since I was five!!! …so, I was riding my bike when I saw that charming guy riding towards me! I got so nervous when I saw him that I lost control of myself and the bike. And I just crushed into his bike. Fortunately none of us were seriously injured. I just had a small scratch on my knee…But I forgot about my knee when he offered me his hand and helped me get up…he asked me if everything was OK with me. But I was standing in front of him and could not say a single word. OMG…I feel soooo embarrassed, but it was exciting to see him again.

Theme Park
Girls finally noticed that something was going on with me. We took a walk in the park with Ami and her brother today and I told her everything. Of course, Ami told everything to Macie. Macie then called me to convince me to talk to him. She also told me that his name was Kevin, he was one year older and that he lived just two blocks away from my house

Love Letter
I never got enough confidence to talk to Kevin directly and I decided to send him a love card. I couldn’t sleep the whole night trying to write an ideal message. I had to throw away ten cards and whole bunch of paper until I had courage to put one of the cards in his mailbox.

Party Makeup
Macie is throwing a party tomorrow. I already got a dress and promised to have a blast cause ever since I put that card in Kevin’s mailbox, I can’t stop stressing about it. Macie called and told me that she would be choosing make-up for the party today and asked me if I would join her. By now, it looks and feels like fall outside.

Welcome to Our Party!
Dear Diary, we had a blast!!! Macie’s parties always rock. Plus her party was so packed that there was not much room left in her huge house. Macie doesn’t even know all the people that show up to her parties. Macie’s mom came back home with her new boyfriend, but they didn’t bother us at all (my parents are worried about that) but after all everything was cool.

A Pet for Nia
Dear Diary, Kevin called! He called and asked me out!!! He was out of town and that’s the reason I didn’t hear from him for so long!!! I am about to die from happiness!!! And also, Nia finally decided to get a pet. It’s a parrot. When Nia brought him from the store, he looked so sad and rough. Store kept parrot in a little cage by the dogs and fish where he didn’t feel so comfy. But Nia lets him fly around the room and talks to him all the time. When we went to visit Nia, the parrot looked a lot better and happier.

At a Conference
Ami woooon!!! She is going to Botswana! Her project will be considered by the Department of Ecology to promote Ami’s discovery throughout the nation. She will save millions of fish and aquatic creatures!!! That’s incredible!!! I can’t believe I am going out on a date today. We are going to have a dinner and maybe take a walk afterwards. I am a little upset that mom asked me to be back by 10pm.

A Date on a Hill
I am soooo happy! Even though we could have talked for weeks without break on our first date, we didn’t have much time to get to know each other closer. Overall, I am still happy with the date. After we had some pizza we went out for a walk. The weather was so warm outside that it felt like summer again. We hiked up the hill at the park to watch the stars from there. Kevin was holding my hand as we were talking and all of a sudden there was silence… It bad that 10pm came around so fast! I was late for half an hour but mom only smiled at me when she saw how happy I was. I saw how mom peeked from the window while I was chatting with Kevin in front of my house. She probably wanted to know if we would kiss, but we didn’t…

Cheerleader Group
We were cheering at the basketball game with my cheerleading team today. I am really glad that everything turned out well because Kevin came to the game to support me. Kevin and I see each other during the breaks every day. Yesterday, we went to the animal shelter together and he helped me with the clean up. Kevin is so sweet and nice. I think about him all the time and girls are becoming little jealous. Macie is so excited and happy to finally become the captain of our cheerleading team! Ami flew to Africa.

First Kiss
It was windy and cold today. Kevin and I went for a bike ride at the park. Wind was blowing leaves everywhere and some were falling on us. We found a quiet place behind two huge stones. Kevin had a blanket. We sat and watched the leaves fall. We sat there for a long time. I didn’t even notice how it happened but somehow he kissed me. And it was amazing. He also gave me a goodbye kiss, which my mom might have seen . But right now I don’t mind if she did.

Ami on Safari
Ami sent us some pictures from Botswana. She has pics with elephants, giraffes and even crocodiles. I still can’t believe that those pics are real. Reality is that Ami is somewhere in the African jungle while it is getting so cold here!

Pregnant Mom
Dear Diary, what I found out today?! My mom is pregnant! I will have a little brother or sister! I am so excited! I could have noticed it earlier but it is hard to observe when you are madly in love. Now, mom is busy getting ready for the newborn. She is planning to renovate the guest room for the baby. She is so tied up that she does not even mind when I get home later. I am glad to have Kevin beside me, I would feel lonely without him.
