A Pet for Nia
Two things happened on the same day. Kevin called and asked Emily out, and Nia came home with a parrot.
Dear Diary, Kevin called! He called and asked me out!!! He was out of town and that’s the reason I didn’t hear from him for so long!!! I am about to die from happiness!!! And also, Nia finally decided to get a pet. It’s a parrot. When Nia brought him from the store, he looked so sad and rough. Store kept parrot in a little cage by the dogs and fish where he didn’t feel so comfy. But Nia lets him fly around the room and talks to him all the time. When we went to visit Nia, the parrot looked a lot better and happier.

The parrot had been kept in a small cage next to the dogs and the fish, and arrived looking miserable. Nia lets him fly around the room and talks to him constantly, and by the time the girls visit he is a different bird. The game builds him from scratch — wings, tail, colours.
When there are no friends around, it’s great to have a small creature that will love you no matter what and will make you laugh when you are upset. Combine different colorful wings, tails, and bodies to create the most colorful bird for Nia.
Nia, who spent the season being looked after by her grandmother, is now the one doing the looking after.
